Current status
DWRC has no published body of research yet. Its research programme is being established, and the areas under study are listed on the Research page. These standards are set now so that the first publication is held to them, rather than assembled after the fact.
Sources and methodology
Published work should identify what it relies on and how it reached its conclusions, distinguish evidence from interpretation, and be explicit about uncertainty and the limits of its method. Where a question is genuinely open, DWRC intends to say so rather than resolve it rhetorically.
AI assistance in research
Where AI assistance materially contributes to research or publication work, that should be disclosed in a way proportionate to its role. AI assistance never transfers responsibility: sourcing, verification, accuracy, and correction remain the responsibility of the people publishing. DWRC does not claim that every publication receives formal external peer review.
Versioning and corrections
Institutional and research documents should carry enough version information for a reader to know which revision they are reading. Where a published claim turns out to be wrong, the appropriate response is a visible correction rather than a quiet edit. A correction that materially changes a conclusion should say so.
Conflicts of interest
Relationships that could reasonably be seen to influence published work — including funding and infrastructure support — should be disclosed rather than assumed to be invisible. Infrastructure support does not confer authority over what DWRC publishes or concludes.
Research is not resolution
Research and publication are distinct from any future operational resolution of disputes. A DWRC publication is not a determination about anyone's case, and should never be cited as one.
